See how it works

Three simple steps

From post link to the right file

A short path from a public post to its available video sizes.

1

Paste the post link

Copy the URL of a public X post containing one video.

2

Review the sizes

Open its download page and compare the MP4 versions actually available.

3

Save your choice

Select a resolution and download the video from its source file.

What happens behind the button

A clear path from post to file

The site keeps the steps visible so you know where the video information comes from and what the download page stores.

Browser lookup

Your browser looks up the public post and its available video versions. No X sign-in is requested here.

Reusable page

XSave saves the post URL, cover, and MP4 addresses so you can return to the same resolution page later.

Source delivery

The selected video comes from the source media network. XSave does not permanently store or upscale the file.

Your choice

Keep the quality you actually need

Choose higher resolution for the clearest picture or a smaller version when storage and download speed matter more.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free, and do I need an account?+

The current basic lookup and resolution selection are free and do not require a XSave account or X credentials.

Are there usage or frequency limits?+

This is an interactive tool, not a bulk downloader. Access may be limited for load, maintenance or abuse prevention. If requests fail, wait before retrying; no unlimited-use guarantee is made.

Where is my video saved?+

Check your browser downloads list and configured download folder. On iPhone, check Downloads in Files. A saved MP4 is not automatically added to the photo gallery.

Why is the download slow?+

Transfer speed depends on your network, the source server and the actual file size. Check the download record, avoid repeated transfers and try a smaller listed version if suitable.

Does it support GIFs, images or multiple videos?+

The current version supports a public post with one video and a complete MP4. Image-only posts, multiple videos and GIF conversion are not supported; a GIF-like post works only if the lookup returns a supported single-video MP4.

Why is 1080p or a higher resolution missing?+

Only complete MP4 variants returned by the lookup are listed. The tool does not upscale a video or create unavailable versions; the largest option may still be compressed by the source.

How long is a shareable page kept, and how can I remove it?+

A fixed public expiry period is not currently promised. Saved page information is retained for the service purpose under Privacy, and source media may become unavailable sooner. Use Contact with the page URL for a removal request.

Which posts work?+

Public X posts with one video and at least one MP4 version. Private, deleted, or multi-video posts are not supported.

Why are several resolutions available?+

X may provide multiple versions of the same video. File size generally increases with resolution.

Does XSave host the videos?+

No. Download pages point to the source media file; XSave does not claim ownership of third-party content.

Why did the video open in a new tab?+

Browser and source-server behavior can differ. If a new tab opens, use the player or browser save option. Our troubleshooting guide explains the common cases.

Can I return to the same download page?+

Yes. Bookmark its XSave URL or submit the same public post again. The page reuses saved video addresses, though source files can later become unavailable.

What am I allowed to download?+

Only download content you own or have permission to save, and follow the applicable platform rules and laws.
